]]>fondantfancyfree replied to your post: So I was wondering, did Percy and Marguerite actually have a ‘wedding night’ or not? The book makes no sense. I think I was confusing the book with the 1982 film, where AA finds out about Marguerite immediately after the wedding, and dead-eyes her through their first dance ;) Will have to read the novel again (or listen to the lovely Ralph Cosham narrate...

castlecastle asked: I've been waiting for Amazon to stock up on the 1982 Scarlet Pimpernel DVD for a year - they finally did, but it's priced at $150 - absolutely infuriating! :'( I just needed to share my frustrations to a fellow fan.

Ok, the jewlery's almost done
(I’m making rings :D) Wanted to get your opinions on masks. I love them, and I love to decorate with them. I took a whole mask making/using seminar in college, and I love making them for characters. Would that be something you guys would be interested in buying?

Yay! I'm going to the craft store to buy supplies...
I love using quotes, so I’m definitely thinking of painting some on canvas. Maybe some t-shirts? It seems that the majority of the requests are for jewlery. I’m thinking I may branch out into working with clay and making little clay pimpernels for the jewlery, but also using photos and quotes and things with acrylic to make pendants. Now, one more question. Would you guys like to see...

Question for you, my lovely followers...
I was going to start an Etsy store to sell some jewelry that I’d made, when I thought “There just isn’t enough Scarlet Pimpernel stuff out there!” So, would anyone out there be interested in buying Scarlet Pimpernel themed jewelry or stuff if I made it? And if you are interested, what kinds of things would you like to see?

I actually really like it when novels end with...
“Oh Jake,” Brett said, “we could have had such a damned good time together.” Ahead was a mounted policeman in khaki directing traffic. He raised his baton. The car slowed suddenly pressing Brett against me. “Yes,” I said. “Isn’t it pretty to think so?” THE END               - Ernest Hemingway,The Sun Also Rises “And...

It's amazing how strong sense memories are.
Re-reading The Elusive Pimpernel brings back such strong memories of sitting in the computer lab my senior year of high school. Even five years later, I can still smell the room. Up on the fourth floor, in the part of the building that was part of the original school building, where my father and my aunts and uncles undoubtedly had classes. Old decorative wood panneling and white, smooth walls...

I'm bored at work, so I decided to doodle
The only Pimpernel related things I can doodle are the flowers themselves, since I spent all of jr. high through college drawing them all over notebooks and folders. I thought I’d show you guys step by step how I draw them, in case you wanted to draw them too! Scarlet Pimpernel (flower) This is a little more like the actual flower, although its’s somewhat styalized. Start by...

Percy's Ring
I just realized as I was writing this post that having been introduced to The Scarlet Pimpernel through the musical, when I read the book, there were certian things that I just assumed based on the information presented by the musical. As we know from previous posts, in the novel, finding Percy’s ring is how Marguerite figures out that Percy is the Scarlet Pimpernel. Since in the musical...
